Senator Dino Melaye has refuted reports that he directed people not to share photos of him and Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, aka Hushpuppi, on social media.

Hushpuppi, who was known for his flashy lifestyle, is currently serving time in prison in the United States on allegations of conspiracy to launder money earned through corporate email compromise frauds and other schemes.

The fraudster admitted to the charges and named a few people.

Following this occurrence, various claims have surfaced on the internet claiming that Senator Dino Melaye is pleading with people not to post the photos he took with Hushpuppi because he does not want to be implicated in Hushpuppi’s crime.

Dino has resorted to social media to refute these claims. Dino claims that he has never directed anyone not to post his photos with Hushpuppi on social media.

The senator claims that because he is a politician, he may take pictures with anyone, no matter who they are.

His post reads; “There was never a time I asked people not to post my pictures with Hushpuppi or anyone for that matter because there is no reason to. Am a political celebrity, please continue posting jare. Wetin bird chop na im e go carry fly. SDM”
