The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Command, has arrested Ladeji Kelvin Babatunde for allegedly receiving over N38 million from suspected online fraudsters in order to avoid arrest by the Commission.

According to a post on the EFCC’s official page, the defendant reportedly impersonated EFCC investigators and acquired money from suspected cybercriminals under false pretences.

Upon his arrest, a four-bedroom unfinished flat was retrieved from him on Ikola Road, Alagbado, Lagos, which was built using the profits of the alleged scam.
