When joint security agents opened fire on the IMN members, commonly known as’shiites,’ they were set to complete their Arbaeen Symbolic Trek.
Security operatives shot two Shiite members at a new generation bank along 3rd Avenue in Gwarimpa Estate, Abuja, according to POLITICS NIGERIA.
As everyone scurried for safety, the tragedy threw the trek into disarray. Abdullahi Musa, the Secretary of the IMN Academic Forum, has since confirmed the occurrence.
“They are just shooting people. As I am talking to you now, six people have been killed. They even carried some dead bodies away,” he told a news correspondent.
