Man arrested for raping a minor in Ondo
Oke Adebomi, 29, was detained by agents of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, on Monday, August 16, 2021, for allegedly raping a minor.
Shortly after returning from school, the four year old minor was allegedly molested by the suspect at his residence at Adegoroye street, in Oshinle, Akure the state capital.
The suspect was apprehended by the Command’s Anti-human Trafficking, Illegal Migration, and Gender Based Unit, according to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Olufemi Omole.
The suspect confessed to the incident, saying he sexually molested the kid by kissing her and caressing her private parts with his manhood.
The medical test confirmed that there was no penetration, but there were traces that Adebomi had inserted his manhood on the young girl’s private area.
Meanwhile, despite ongoing awareness and campaigns against such inhumane acts, the State Commandant of the Corps, Hammed Abodunrin, bemoaned the frequent occurrences of minor defilement.
The suspect will be charged in court after the corps inquiry was completed, the commandant stated.
