First class Mathematics graduate who resorted to cassava farming finally relocates to US

Emmanuel Chinweuba Nworie, a young man whose storey went viral in 2020 as a first-class mathematics graduate who had to turn to farming as a means of survival despite his academic brilliance, has prevailed.

He was awarded a scholarship to study for his post-graduate studies months after his storey went viral.

Michael Taiwo who is aquainted to him took to Facebook on August 1 to post about Nworie and to let people know that he had arrived in the United States. He identified Nworie as a math genius who had previously won a gold medal in a national mathematics competition in Nigeria.

Nworie who graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka is now content in the United States.

When Taiwo met him, he confessed that in order to enrol for graduate school, he would have had to work hard and save for seven years. The man expressed gratitude to those who helped Nworie have a better life in a foreign country. He included a snapshot of the young man smiling upon his arrival in his new home country.
