Before the court hearing the case can make a decision, a woman who was reportedly raped by a client has abandoned her husband and moved in with the rapist.

According to Malachy Odo, a Nigerian lawyer who relayed the shocking news, the alleged rape victim’s husband reported the case to the police after she told him about her ‘sad’ ordeal.

According to the woman, she was raped in a hotel by a client, an incident about which she reported to her husband, who decided to take legal action against the rapist.

Surprisingly, the rape victim has left her husband’s home and moved in with the rapist before the police investigation can be completed and the court can rule on the case.

The  lawyer who bemoaned the new development in the rape case, said it also brings the legal processes to a close.

“As lawyers, the things we see and the stories we hear on a daily basis, can be mind-blowing.

“A wife claims she was raped by a customer in a hotel. The husband reports to the police and in the middle of the investigation, the wife moves in with the alleged rapist.

Malachy Odo remarked on Twitter, “Case closed.”
