Tokyo 2020: Okagbere, Nwokocha qualify for semis

Blessing Okagbare advanced to the semi-finals of the women’s 100m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games on Friday morning.
With a time of 11.05 seconds, Okagbare, who is competing in her fourth Olympics, won heat 6.
Tynia Gaither was third in 11.34s, while Asha Phillips finished second in 11.31s.
Grace Nwokocha, who is competing in her debut Olympic Games, has advanced to the semi-finals.With a new personal best of 11.00s, Nwokocha finished third in heat 5.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica won the race in 10.84 seconds, while Alja Del Ponte of Switzerland came in second in 10.91 seconds, a new national record.
