UEFA Champions League: Man City to Face PSG, United draw Villarreal

Aug 26, 2021 | Sports

In the 2021-22 Champions League group stages, Manchester City will face Paris Saint-Germain, perhaps setting up a clash between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to sources, Man City is close to completing a deal for Ronaldo, while Messi will be playing in his first Champions League season since joining PSG earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Manchester United was drawn in Group F against Villarreal, a rematch of last season’s Europa League final, which Unai Emery’s team won on penalties.

AC Milan, the champion League’s second most successful team with seven victories, returns to the competition for the first time since 2014 and is placed alongside Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, and FC Porto.

On May 29, the season’s final will be held in the Estadio do Dragao in Porto, Portugal.
