SARS Killing Video: Keyamo Calls For Release Of Videographer From Detention

Oct 10, 2020 | News

Festus Keyamo, SAN, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has urged the police to release a videographer who was behind the Delta viral Special Anti-Robbery Squad video which alleged the killing of one person by SARS operatives in Ughelli, in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of the Delta State.

Over the weekend, the video had sparked a lot of tension/crises as many angry youths took to the streets to protest.

The protest further led to the attack of an off-duty officer, Sergeant Ohwovwiogor Fidelis, at the Ughelli Central Garage area.

Following the incidence, it was learnt that detectives from the command trailed the videographer to his Ughelli residence where he was picked up and detained.

Reacting however in a tweet, Keyamo described the arrest of the videographer as “purely a case of leaving the substance and chasing shadows.”

He further urged that the police release the man and drop all charges against him, as he was only playing his duty as a patriotic citizen.
