After barely three months of marriage, a Nigerian prophet and his wife have reportedly divorced due to his refusal to allow her to finish her schooling.

After a brief courtship, Prophet Divine Okoh, the General Overseer of Healing Grace Deliverance Ministry in Agbor, Delta state, and his wife, Happiness Nwakanma, reportedly married.

Happiness wrote a contentious comment on a post that grabbed the prophet’s interest, and the two met on Facebook in May 2021.

They began speaking on the platform shortly after, and the prophet brought up the subject of marriage, asking to see Happiness’ family.

Despite the bride’s family’s misgivings that the marriage was too soon because they barely knew each other, they married in the same month of May.

The bride, a student at the Federal Polytechnic in Nekede, Imo State, reportedly told her husband after the wedding that she wanted to return to school to finish her HND programme, but he refused.

According to reports, he pledged to make sure she finished her tertiary degree, therefore his unwillingness to let her go back to school caused a rift in the marriage.

According to a report shared on a popular Igbo Facebook group, the bride has left her marital home after claiming that the prophet hypnotised her and that she has been having spiritual attacks since the wedding.

Following the news of their tumultuous breakup, Prophet Divine Okoh resorted to Facebook to give a strong warning to anyone who make “false allegations against men of God.”

His post on Facebook reads;

“My spiritual advice to many who has not experience the anger from the alter, never lay false aligations (sic) against men of God just to destroy who is untouchable. That is a sin against the holy Spirit which even God says it can’t be forgiven.

“Person like me I won’t forgive I will hurt that family spiritually until everything there dry up, u can insult me I will forgive but say anything that is not true against the church, everyone who is in support of it will will be drawn according to the scripture, is a covenant that the church is built on a rock that gate of hell shall not prevail whoever who touch the church the rock falls on the family, ( u can fight fakes prophets and go free but men of God who has never sold their soul to Satan will not forgive whoever that discouraged them.

“I am a role model.” I will never forgive until I see the end of that family, I swear with my life (Is just an advice to many born by Satan to destroy churches and ministers Grace are difference some are born with dangerous anointing that God does not like to see them share tears) much love from here.”
