‘Made In Lagos’, Wizkid’s fourth studio album, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard world album chart 10 months after its release.

‘Made In Lagos’, which was released in October 2020, garnered widespread attention early this year as various foreign celebrities lent their admiration to the album’s eleventh song, “Essence.”

In July, the song ‘Essence,’ featuring Tems, made history by being the first Nigerian single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 music charts.

Wizkid collaborated with Justin Bieber, a Canadian music star, on a remix of Essence earlier this month. The remixed version of Essence, dubbed “song of the summer,” is currently No. 1 on the Billboard world digital song sales chart as of Tuesday.

In November 2020, the album debuted at number two on the World album chart, where it remained a total of 41 weeks.

It was also the first African album to enter the top ten of Spotify Global Album chart just a week after its release.

Wizkid has confirmed the release date of his Made in Lagos deluxe album, despite the fact that he is preparing for his album tour.

Furthermore, the remix version of Wizkid’s global hit song, which was dubbed “Song of the Summer” by Justin Bieber, is currently No. 16 on the Billboard top 100 chart.
