Olaoluwa Jimoh, 45, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly impregnating his own biological daughter.

According to a statement made by the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the father was detained at Ode Remo divisional headquarters after a complaint by his 19-year-old daughter (names withheld).

The young lady said that she had been living with her father for two years when he forcibly had sex with her in June 2021, and that he has since raped her several times and threatened to kill her if she told anybody.

The 19-year-old victim told police that her mother had divorced her father a long time ago and that she had been living with her mother until the suspect invited her to live with him roughly two years ago. When she found out she was pregnant, she opted to report, despite her father’s threats.

Following the information, CSP Fasogbon Olayemi, DPO Ode Remo division, instantly dispatched his detectives to track down the offender, who was promptly apprehended,” according to the statement.

During questioning, the suspect admitted to committing the crime and stated that the devil was behind it.

Meanwhile, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, the commissioner of police, has directed that the case be immediately transferred to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
